The Washington Potato and Onion Association (WPOA) is a non-profit corporation formed to promote the general welfare of the packers and shippers of potatoes and onions and allied industries in the state of Washington.

HELPING BOTH INDUSTRIES

The WPOA is involved in several areas on behalf of its members, including labor issues and international trade issues. The WPOA serves as a vehicle for fresh potato and onion shippers needs of the industry.

SERVING OUR COMMUNITY

The WPOA is a resource for Washington State Packing sheds of potatoes and onions, providing tools, resources, workshops, political action and networking events to help them be more successful in agriculture.

The WPOA is the only association in Washington State that represents potato and onion shippers. WPOA has expanded its Annual Summer Business Meeting to include guest presenters with the most current information on legislative, regulatory, legal, marketing, international trade, and transportation issues that impact potato and onion shippers in Washington State. This has really helped to increase attendance at the Annual Summer Meeting, which provides an excellent opportunity for our potato and onion Shipper Members and Associate members to network with one another. BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The WPOA’s eleven member board meets approximately three times each year. The annual summer meeting is a three day convention where there is an opportunity to hear speakers on numerous topics, play a little golf and discuss concerns or current issues with others in the industry.
